While the activation prompt stated the software was now activated, it, in fact, appeared not toīe the case, as after I closed Word and opened Excel, I was prompted again for the code.
Prompted for the activation code, I input the code I had saved in the CD jewel case. Installation seemed to go just fine, until I opened the first app, Word. Windows Defender (also ensured it was up to date), and uninstalled the Office 365 trial software that came on the computer. I also uninstalled the McAfee software that came on the computer, using only Using the same installation disk I had used on the older, now dead, computer, I installed Office Pro 16 on the new machine AFTER making sure all Windows updates were up to date. This new laptop is running Windows 10, is a 64 bit machine utilizing the Intel Core I7 chip, withĢ TB of hard drive space and 16 gb of RAM.
However, when that laptop crashed a few weeks ago, I bought a new one. I had a Windows 10 laptop on which I had installed MS Office Pro 2016 with no problems.
